The hike to Lake Ediza is a long one, with a couple of strenuous stretches of trail, though not an overly difficult one if adequate time is allowed. (An early start is recommended). The scenery and views encountered at Ediza however certainly reward the trekkers who persevere. It is possibly one of the most picturesque lakes in the Sierra, tucked right at the very base of the jagged Minarets that tower over it.
If you're feeling up to it, (and it's early enough to not run out of daylight on the return), push onward further to Iceberg Lake .. or scamble on yet further
